    My full post (#4)concerned a specific journey from Manchester to Whitby and was showing how the app got it wrong.

    There are no through trains between Manchester and Whitby, you have to change at Middlesbrough.

    If you miss a connection because the first train is delayed you are covered.(read the latest T&Cs).

    For a journey on 11th June and returning 18th June.

    Manchester to Whitby £35.80 Return.
    Manchester to Stalybridge £2 single each way.
    Stalybridge to Whitby £34 Return.

    Manchester to Middlesbrough £23.10 Return
    Middlesbrough to Whitby £6.95 return.

    Splitting at Stalybridge gives the dearest option.

    I don't have a smartphone, and it's hardly very MSE to go and buy one just so I can use this App!
