Anglian doors and windows quote

Hi ,,,Last week I had a quote from an anglian sales man for a French door, kitchen window 180x90 cm ,a Holloway door with side panel , bathroom window 90x60cm and a window 210x120 ,,all together will cost 3800 pounds .. The sales man was bushy and I had to sign with them,, but have a week to cancel if not happy .. I do not think this is a reasonable price..Six month I had for windows 240x200 cm + 2 small windows and a front wood door + side panel all for 4000 pounds from the same company ... Can any one advice please ..

Get a local company in to quote.

Do not use CR smith or Anglian. They are one of the most expensive out there.

I used an on-line quoter to get a an idea or pricing can't find the one I used but

try this one, if you don't want to put personal details use a window companies phone number and details.

homebase also do windos -online but they seem even more expensive.

Door prices seem to vary a lot.

Another angle is off the shelf for similar sizes from the likes of wickes and skewfix that will give a range. then add fitting say a day for 2 people for your job.

Fitting, 4 guys did 18 units in my house in a day and 1/2 say £10-£20ppph

we had a quote from Anglian for 2 big bay windows, 2 doors, a side panel and a bathroom window.
He was in the house for 12 minutes. Didnt discuss price, glass, locks etc

Phoned me with a price about an hour later. Was competitive but because of his attitude didnt go for them.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply.. I have used Anglian before as I said their products are good but I was not 100% happy about the installation. They seem to be one of the big in the market currently with good reputation.. Sorry plumface,, You seem to be offended ,,it is obvious that was spelling mistake ....

Thanks getmore4less.... That was helpful...I was quoted for standard products .. according to the link this is like 1800 pounds above average.I do not have experience with local companies ..Do they buy products from companies like Anglian and then resell them or where do they get their products from..Any information is highly appreciated .
