All websites (even MSE) exploit people. That's how the Internet functions.
That company seem to be no different to an advice centre except they charge clearly. Assuming people know what they're doing I don't see any problem.
It's not pretty but making money never is.

Yes, it is unethical but there are many such organisations. They charge people for information and services that are free elsewhere or that they could do themselves.
It is up to the users to do research and not use these organisations.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?
