Changing Schools - advice

I have done a couple of in year tranfers, you would need to make your application to the admissions dept at the council.
You can phone them up and ask them what schools have spaces, or phone the schools directly.
If there are no spaces at the schools you apply to then you will be put on the waiting list, I waited 4 months for my son to move to his current school, but it is literally a 10 minute walk so we were right up there as it's catchment.
There can be a lot of movement in schools so you may get a space or may not end up waiting too long for a space in the school you want.
Would a taxi service be an option, you OH has lost his licence so I am gathering this would reduce a part of your outgoings, so would be able to get her a taxi home on the days noone else could pick her up?0 -
If you apply now and they have a space, move her now as if you wait until september she might not get in as the space could be offered to someone else.
When my boy got offered this school we had 14 days to accept the place.0
