that makes zero sense, a credit profile is constantly updated and never upto date, and as i have proved banks/lenders don't seem to like to keep paper work long anyhow.0 -
Thanks for the advise, but you do realise after 6 years any debt (other than Bankruptcy and IVA) falls of your credit file leaving no effect from the date of last payment or default date, so in my case 3 years, so will have zero impact on me in 3 years what ever the situation in the mean time.
Fully aware but you are wanting a mortgage now not in 3 years time. Comapre the rates of today to the rates in 3 years. Likely you will be paying the 2k in interest over and above today's rates.
AFAIK bankruptcy and IVA drop off after 6 years too.

I stand corrected, it does indeed, but its left on the Insolvency Register.
I 'might' be paying slightly more in 3 years time at a maximum, but i shall also have saved a further larger deposits lowering the value i need to take out and in return lowering the amount of interest i will ultimately pay, and that's still on the assumption house values do not go down further.0 -
So I was correct, thanks, it can't be matched.
Maths not your strong point?
For example: 1% of 100,000 > 5% of 15000.
Regardless, pensions are the next big crisis. On a side note, you may be struck off by then and not getting any pension if your boss notes you have spent the whole day on this forum..
Sure you will now say you are on holiday or something clever like its not in your contract of employment.
Seriously I am staying off now - J suggest you leave it alone too as will drive you crazy..
I would pay for you to spend an hour in a locked room with Thrugs though!I am a Mortgage Broker

It's a good job I have un restricted Internet access then isn't it, not sure how any of this is revelant to my post though. I would like to thank the member who has offered to help me with the situation via email, at least this thread has brought up some constructive comments, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with a few defaults. It's seems there's a bit of 'click' in here which is a shame, as when it comes to challenging non stereotypical situations the same old comments are just re posted.
Just to re iterate if you don't like comments you don't have to reply!0 -
Thrugs is all for it. Obviously a fan of legalised theft.
Weird. I am bored of this though, really gets on my nerves this kind of brazen theft but when it's over such a minor amount, by such a pauper, who acts like Warren Buffet when really he's just a jobsworth stealing taxpayer money and providing a substandard service.... Yeah. At least the !!!!! won't be getting a mortgage anytime soon. The J is a Financial Advisor-This site doesn't check anyone's status and as such any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. Haha classic!
edit: Funny how the "clique" (learn the spelling) happens to be the financial professionals. And presumably the non-clique happen to be the non financial professionals. When you get arrested, which given your morals is certain to happen, will the police be a clique too? :grouphug:The J is a Financial Advisor-This site doesn't check anyone's status and as such any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. Any chance the person who offered to help was the mortgage broker who then you publicly recommended on another thread...?
So no financial interest there then?
I would kick you out of my office even if you wanted to be a client, just for your outlook on things..
And unrestricted internet access does not mean you cannot be productive the whole day...
It just gets betterI am a Mortgage Broker
