This telephone number will take you directly to BT technical dept so no going via long convulated holding system. For Broadband and Email help.
01793 590055 - it does not appear on website that I could find.
They helped me to reset my outlook password which had not been working since 17th April, so all emails had been left at ISP holding point.

Yesterday, after nearly an hour on the phone and yet another repetition of "open up the master socket, blah blah, blah", we had a SNR reset on the line. The lady who called me just before that gave me a UK phone number and said to call her directly if the line speed didn't show some change in 4 hours. I called the number - 01793 590055 - this morning as it's still 7.4M, but it's a billing number and the guy who answered couldn't help at all to work out who the lady was. Nor could India, as no record on the case. Poor. Really, really poor, BT!
So looks as though it is an incorrect number !0 -

This number was dialled from my landline by a BT engineer who came to check the line.
The visit followed no service for 24 hours. Our broadband and line was cut off .
He discovered that despite upgrade to Infinity 6 months previously our broadband speed was 2.7 - when he left it was 38.
Just got our bill and the call he made to this number was £20.71.
They have refunded this ... good job I check the bill.0
