Amazon Seller Question

Hello there,

A couple of months ago I began selling my old school books on Amazon... then my mum did the same with her uni books, then we spotted the business potential and have both recently begun selling as a full time job.

This website has been a god send to me as I have not had to return to work after having my baby and now I can work from home and look after her too.

Anyway - getting to the point... My question is... Are Z Shops worth the extra time and energy categorising your books? It takes a good extra minute to put every book on and I have hundreds that I am considering going back through and editing to include their category.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Many thanks

Salli :)

    Hi Salli,

don't know the answer to your question but as you haven't had any response here might be worth posting the question on the amazon website sellers board. Lots of posters on there have z shops so should be able to advise.

    good luck

    Thank you for replying Teapot.

I have been having a browse around and I have come to the conclusion that they are a waste of time unless they are for specialist subjects.

I spent an hour putting books online without Z-Shops last night and I managed to get triple the amount of books on in a fraction of the time it usually took.

    Thanks anyway folks.
  • Beware selling on Amazon. I have sold lots of books/DVDs etc with no problems. However, my son put his Mobile phone on to sell and was sent a false "Sold-Despatch now" email. I contacted Amazon, as it didn't seem to be the regular Amazon address. They emailed me straight back saying it was not a genuine sale and they had several reports of this happening. They said the only safe way is to check your actual account details rather than relying on the"Sold" emails.
  • That's a handy hint! Thank you - I will keep my eyes peeled.

I do always check my sales from the Amazon account anyway - but thank you for the advice.
