i have been getting constant emails from a yahoo address, under the name DODOBIRD. i know who it is, its a person i bought from on ebay. its spam all the time, but into my inbox,at least 2 or 3 times a day. i have emailed and asked her to stop and now am getting even more,. its just links to something called ziinga but it is getting annoying now. she is sending just 'HAHAHAHAHA' ALL THE TIME.
Its trivial i know but every time i come to my laptop they are there. making nuisance phone calls is an offence. are emails the same? can i block her email addy?

What email program are you using? On Windows live mail, you can tight click on a message and under the 'junk mail' menu, there is an option to block the sender.0

I use Googlemail and just checked and there doesn't seem to be a way to block a sender.
The closest thing I can find is to mark the message as spam which would just send all of the emails from this person into your spam folder so you wouldn't get them in your main inbox but the problem would still be there.:(2019 Wins

To have the messages go straight to the bin without hitting your in box or spam folders do the following:
View a message from the sender and click on the down arrow that is next to the reply button.
This will bring up a menu and one of the options will be "Filter messages like this". Select that option.
You will then get a window pop-up, which should have the offending email address in the "From" field. Click on the "Create filter with this search »" link in the bottom right and it will move to the next page.
Tick the "Delete it" check box and then press the "Create filter" button and from then on all emails from that address will go straight to the bin0 -
By the way, there's a high chance that the eBay seller isn't guilty - her email may have been compromised or just spoofed.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -

no,it is her because i asked her to stop and got a not very nice email back. and she emailed me very recently wanting me to buy stuff from her without ebay and i refused. the email is still linked to her ebay accountShine on you crazy diamond..............0 -

Why not trying to report her to ebay,it must be against 1 of there policies.Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0

Hopefully this is not a problem!
The general rule is to block the emails and NEVER reply to them. Replying is like answering a cold-call. They now know you are listening.0 -

You can contact the email address owner and report them, their account may then be blocked for generating spam and sending 'malicious' emails - worth a try if you can be bothered...Friendly greeting!0
