Thanks OP (I think), didn't need this but at 11.49pm it started to look too good to miss, so out came the plastic and a rush order was made. Seems a lot of value for the money, worst case scenario is massive brownie points on mothers day.

Went through quidco who seem to be offering an extra £10 on top of the 4.5% so end cost should be £213.75. Monitor alone is going for £60-£70 on ebay.

    Moneyspendingexpert.com more likely.

The e-value code D03C11A is now slightly more expensive at £269.07 delivered (before Quidco); this is an almost identical system to before however for the extra £34 you get the following 'upgrades' compared with the one at £233:

    - 1GB RAM (as opposed to 512MB before) and
    - 15 month McAfee Security Centre subscription.

Seems well worth the extra, particularly the additional RAM for running Vista. Upgrade to 17" Flat Panel monitor is just £23.50 which if included would still leave the system under £300 delivered. Remember to change support to 1 year CAR to get the price shown.

    Any laptops about under £300?

Not checked recently but I am fairly sure you can buy 512MB ram for less than £34 (I don't want Mcafee as AVG is better and free) Is it possible to get this with XP, I can only see Vista options?

Do you know if the XP option is available with other Dell offers?

I've had quite enough of the Vista thing at this stage.
