Hope it helps with working out the budget.
PS.
TVA = VAT, the French like to jumble the letters, ie. GPL is LPG, UE = EU
and OTAN = NATO, Fukc ffo = well you get the idea, it's nothing personal against the English I'm sure

If you plan your route using this website http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/ it will also work out the toll costs for you as there are a number of different toll road providers across France with slightly different rates. Its a good website, you can input fuel costs, avoid toll route, etc to refine your route as you wish.
If you make one or two regular trips a year for holidays then its also worth considering a toll tag to save you fumbling around with coins or credit cards and helps avoids the queues. There is a small annual charge of about £10 and small charge when used but may be worth it for the convenience of not having to stop.

But Mrs. Bob the Saver wouldn't be able to spend what seems like an eternity trying to get rid of all the small Euro change at those automated booths, (and some Sterling coins if she hasn't got her specs on) much to the 'entertainment' of the many drivers behind.0 -
Thinking of getting one of these - a bit cheaper

I always use the card payment lanes - usually no queue, takes a few seconds to pay, and - if you have a recommended overseas-use card - no charges.
I don't drive in France frequently enough to justify getting an electronic tag thingy.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0
