hi bought an electric oven from comet on april 14 ,and the thing broke down on 6th may,phoned customer service and was told an engineer would not be able to arrive until 14th may am i within my rights to return the oven to the store i bought it from and request a new oven, as i dont want a3and a half week old repaired oven

Pretty sure the store wont do anything without an engineer looking at it, Comet suck0

Comet are entitled to inspect the item and likewise make the decision as to deal with it as a refund, repair or replace.
If you take it back to the store rather than waiting for an engineer you simply add to your own costs of having it unfitted and refitted rather0
