No I wouldn't, and I think the people that are bidding are fools lol
Brand spanking new user on eBay, a big fat 0 feedback, he signed up 2 days ago, has never bought or sold and he has listed, wait for it, 16 lots of 100 Stand Up Speak Up bands!!!
Now, call me cautious, but does that not seem just a bit odd to you? OK he MIGHT have 1600 bands in stock and ready to ship, but some how I just dont think he does.
Oh ye, here's the link:

I just feel sorry for the people bidding!

That's a heck of a lot of money PayPal could have claims put in for if this does turn out to be false. If they sell at the current bids that's £2066, of if they go for the current highest bid it's £2720, if not more when it ends.
It'll be interesting what feedback this seller has in a weeks time just to see if the listing is genuine.
I think there should be a period on eBay where you have to sell say three items before you can list multipul items over a certain value, say £50. Most genuine sellers would be happy to sell something smaller if they wanted to list in this way.0 -
He's also stated he wants payment within 48hrs and is also charging £15 P&P
TBH, I don't have any sympathy with the bidders as they're more than likely trying to bag a bargain to sell on for even more money! Greedy people deserve to get their fingers burnt

I don't know if anyone has been following this auction, but this set of bands ended at 21:00 last night and at 21:52 the buyer had already left feedback saying "great ebayer, got my item same day!"
Now does that sound dodgy or what, and anyone not paying particular attention may well be encouraged to part with their money thinking that everything was ok
That is unless Royal Mail Special Delivery have taken to personally collecting and delivering items within an hour on a Bank Holiday!!!!!! :rotfl:
Edit: there's a list of all the winning bidders here and it looks like he's made around £3000 out of this scam

That should be evidence neough to get them kicked for shill bidding, try reporting them.

Soo
Unless of course the buyer and seller live near each other?
Reply by iepinternational : Excellent Ebayer, lives round the corner, picked the item up straight away!! A++
I am not saying this is not a scam .... However, if it is, then having looked at the winning bidders, a lot of "experienced" EBayers have somehow managed to fall for it.

Seller now NARUED ..... Buyer leaving feedback still above ground.
This might imply many things, and as we are talking the wristband thing, I'll not speculate.

It was a very quick NARU. If one was to speculate one would asume that ebay NARUd them for something obvious and easily proved, like shill bidding, or incorrect contact details.
Interestingly the buyer has not been NARUd which does not support the idea of shill bidding.
Of course, there is always the possibility that the seller unregistered voluntarily.
