Barclaycard PPI offer - Help Needed

Hi
I have been offered a refund by Barclaycard for a card I took out back in January of 2004. My problem is that the are saying they dont have statments for longer than 6 years back and as such they have estimated the PPI I have paid. I am fairly confident this has been underestimated considerably but have no copies of the statments to prove this.
Is there anyway I can force them to send me statements from the start of the account? I am sure I have heard of some way of doing it for the last 10 years but hoped somebody can help?
Thanks

I have a related issue with Barclaycard. Today I received their offer in relation to my PPI claim. I took out my Barclaycard in 2005 and still use it today, and still pay PPI on it.
However, Barclaycard have only offered to pay back PPI payments I made from the date of taking out the card to 6 September 2006. I don't feel that this is correct. Shouldn't payments be refunded up to and including the date I made my complaint?
What should I do now - reject their offer and go to the Ombudsman?
Any help/guidance would be appreciated!0 -

Contact them and ask they redress from 06 to present day as they admitted this was mis sold, why should they not redress you to now?? tell them if they do not then you will send this to FOS, you should cancel the PPI asap.0
