It seems crazy to ask for id when you want to buy foreign currency with a debit card.

1) If you have your pin number, then it is likely to be you using it, after all you use it everywhere else without id.

2) If you have money in your account, then it must already have been laundered and gotten away with if you hadnt earned it legally.

So it serves no purpose except to increase administration and force up the cost to you.

I can see the need for id if things were going the other way though. Changing money into credit in your bank account.
