Keyboard stops responding, characters not appearing

My keyboard keeps stopping responding for long periods, 20, 30, 40 seconds.

When I go to type something, no characters appear, then after long period it starts working, characters start appearing.

It happens in all types of windows, browser text, address bar, notepad text.

Thought problem might be related to predictive text feature in browser windows, checking things.

When I check task manager, can't see anything untoward going on, like high cpu, or process kicking in at that moment.

Keyboard has dropped from short height recently, everything seems to be working ok, except for this intermittent problem.

Keyboard not responding doesn't seem to coincide with anything in particular I am doing or that is going on, just happens intermittently but frequently enough for it to be a pain just waiting for it to start working.

I have recently upgraded Malwarebytes to a full trial version in last week, which I think is constantly monitoring things on Pc.

Problem may coincide with that, but not sure.

Seems to be more of a Pc software problem rather than keyboard itself problem.

Sounds like something running in the background and hogging all the resources.

I would suggest downloading and running Ccleaner.

I'm not an expert on Malwarebytes, but if you run it and post the output file here I'm sure someone will have a look at it for you.

I've managed to find a spare PS2 keyboard, seems to be much better, problem seems to have disappeared.

So think problem was with keyboard itself.

It might have been causing other problems as well, if it was overloading my Pc with wrong keyboard signal, as browser windows had become very slow to load & other simple things seemed unusually slow.
