in Credit cards
Hi
I'd like to know whether I could claim my airline payment back. I had to cancel my flight and when I contacted the airline (Monarch) they said they are a non refundable airline and they won't be able to refund the full amount. However they said they will refund the additional charges. SO far I haven't received any payment back.
Ideally I'd like to have a full refund.
If someone can advise that will be great.
Thanks

If you cancelled then no you are not entitled to a refund.
What was the reason for cancellation?
Is it something that might be covered on your travel insurance like sickness?
Credit cards only come into play when the airline don't provide the service. In this case they probably did provide the flight, it was your choice to not get on it, so sorry no help there under section 75.0 -
Section 75 covers you if the supplier doesn't keep their side of the contract. In this case you didn't keep your side (by not travelling with them) so I don't see where the basis for a Section 75 claim comes in.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

Some credit cards do have some travel insurance, but you'd have to have a valid claim for insurance e.g. sickness.
No insurance covers you for just changing your mind.0 -
For future, travel insurance can be from £8 online and well worth having.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
