Atos Doctors visit

A couple of months ago an Atos " doctor " visited my wife at home, in his report he stated the large lump on my wife's leg was a cyst which yesterday was diagnosed as a nerve tumor after a scan:eek:
Glad the Atos doctor is not her GP as she would probably be dead by now with all the problems she has had all her life.

The ATOS 'doctor' is only there to make his report based on the descriptors. The ATOS employee is only there to see how your current condition matches the descriptors and your application and not to make assumptions.0

And yes ATOS person is just there to look into descriptors and how they affect is in everyday stuff etc.0 -
To be fair the doctor would only be assessing your wife for eligibility to benefits and would not be expected to provide a diagnosis.
Best wishes to your wife- i hope she improves quickly

Although on the other hand, if he were saying/implying that someone's description of extreme pain from a lump on their leg was false because it was just a build up of fluid, that would have some bearing on it.
Plus, someone might put off going to the GP because 'the doctor saw me and if he had thought it was anything important, he would have told me'.
I hope you make a complaint.
Not that anything will be done, mind. Just so you know you've told them and made somebody listen, even though they won't give a damn.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

I had to report a 'Nurse' who gave advice to the DWP re my DLA claim. She stated that I was being prescribed 'mild' analgesic medication and that there was no reason that I would be in pain all day.
The fact was, as stated on my claim forms, I was on the equivalent of over 200mg a day of Morphine.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
