Was just wondering if anyone else was caught up in the nationwide backlog? Our full app was recd 2 weeks ago and still waiting on stuff being processed. We are due to move in 25th may and we can't sign missives (Scotland) till we get offer. All v stressfull. Broker not being overly helpful taking a day to reply to emails etc.

They are being slow, but they will prioritise when you are outside service level agreements.
I used to wait until they just ticked over and then picked up the phone to move to urgent.
Have a word with your broker, although I think and I may be wrong you can chase as a client on their intermediary line.. Happy to be corrected as not 100% sure.
Good luckI am a Mortgage Broker

According to my IFA they should be assessing my stuff by cob tomorrow. Do you know what their SLAs are? Surely they prioritise on completetion date and we are almost at a fortnight away.0

Afraid not - they prioritise in queues and when you joined a queue and for what reason.
There are only so many things that can be done, Nationwide are usually pretty good at telling you exactly what they want and then as brokers we scan in the documents and they review them..
Should not be too much grief, but I know they are incredibly low on resources at the moment and things are going over the SLA's.
I would have thought your broker would be all over it as remember most of us get paid too on completion..?
Sure your Estate Agent is chasing!!!I am a Mortgage Broker

We paid them 99 for the pleasure of them being non responsive and forgot to ask us for documents which would have been submitted with the application if they had told us they needed them which is led to this delay!! Arghhhh. It's a new build we have bought was due to sign missives last week but we had to ask for an extension due to mortgage application. No doubt they will be chasing us tomorrow!!!0

I feel your frustration.
One time last week, I waited 35 minutes for them just to pick up the phone for me to tell them it was over the SLA for them to move it to another urgent queue.
It was then offered the next day, but made the 35 minutes and the rude responses from them feel no better.
Good luck...I am a Mortgage Broker

You paid them £99 to secure a rate.
Expecting to have a mortgage offer within 2 weeks is extremely optimistic from all parties involved, especially the builders. The J is a Financial Advisor-This site doesn't check anyone's status and as such any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. The £99 was on top of the booking fee for the mortgage app, its was the brokers admin fee.0

I would suggest you ask for that back if the broker isn't being very helpful. Especially since you could have gone to a fee free broker and got the same service without that fee or an IFA and got the commission refunded. The J is a Financial Advisor-This site doesn't check anyone's status and as such any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. Ye I planning to complain when hopefully our offer is through and everything is sorted. Only reason we used them is that they were recommended by the builder and we thought it would be easier....how wrong!!!0
