hello there, great forum !!
some advice please. i took a loan out with bank of ireland 5 years ago, last payment next month .loan was for £5000 + ppi over 5 years. the ppi on this was £13 per month, however, 2 years ago i missed a payment and this cycled for 6 months without a single payment being taken for 6 months. finally got a letter from bank stating i was 6 months behind so i had to pay double amount of loan for 6 months to catch up with repayments. i noticed that i was paying £13 less and when i rang them they stated as i missed payments my insurance was automatically cancelled ? so, in a nutshell, i only payed ppi for 2 years @£13 per month. does anyone think its worth my while or did the bank think they were being smart cancelling the ppi ?..many thanks in advance..john

Did you pay the PPI as a single payment each month, or was this included in the monthly payment for the loan?0
