On instant payment to credit cards are they allowed to charge you late payment charge although they have the money but because of the payment rules they set you are late on payment
MBNA rules are Monday to Friday payments have to be received by 4pm. after 4pm Friday any payment received is credit to your account on the next working day which would be Monday but if that is a bank holiday then Tuesday

Yes, you have to work to the banking hours and clearance times and take account of weekends and bank holidays.
For a first "offence" they may waive the fee if you ask nicely.
But on the whoel the rules are clear and you need to stick to them.0 -
