Take the car-what it was invented for.
Ahh it looks like a certain Mr Jeremy Clarkson has joined us then?:think:If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0 -
OP - if you catch the bus you'll see the kind of pond life you'll be sharing over an hour of every day with. After that if petrol doubles in price you'll still want to take the car!
Out of interest why are you so keen on the bus? If it's environmental impact why not consider getting an electric car, or getting a diesel and converting it to run on chip fat?
Absolutely rubbish idea regards running it on cooking oil.
You do realise that by law it's illegal to run a car on any substitute without paying the duty on it?
So, that said your inviting and abetting someone avoids duty when the rest of us have to pay it?
Besides, saying you leave morals a side, if the Police discover that the car is running on cooking oil which can often be pretty evident, he'll have the car impounded, out weighing any saving and making a substantial loss.
It's illegal to do, HM Revenue and Customs will be delighted in taking action.
Please don't say it's not illegal, I've seen cars stopped by traffic Police a number of times and the car taken from them, and also stop giving such fat advice out.0 -

Since when, have they droped the 2500ltr exemption?
