Hi all, and thanks for starting us off Sunshine. Sorry to hear you're having a down day, but just look at your signature, you've paid so much off already! Do you PAD? That's what's keeping me going at the moment.I tell you what I'm sick of, making blinkin' packed lunches!!!

Today I am working from home, yippee! And also:

:) Found out interest rate on my savings account. 0.5%. So opened a new savings account and ISA. I am a grown up!
:) Checked current account which was looking a bit sad.
:) Hence PAD of £1.02 but hey, better than nothing.
:) Used say no to 0870 to find a freephone number for ringing bank, hah!
:) Finally finished writing out a contract for a new client. Hate that sort of thing.
    :) Posted my ebay parcels.
:) Did a quick shop at morrisons buying only savers items or stuff on offer. Bought only what was on the list.
:) Had a run round the park with the dog. It is sooo muddy here! Dog towels now in machine with stardrops.
:) Going to make a rhubarb crumble for our treat later.

Think that's it. Keep going everyone, we will get there!:D

just to add, have withdrawn my paypal profits so will pay that to cc when it comes through. Not a huge amount, £6 odd quid, but another step on the way.

    Hi everyone

I am a lurker but your post really struck a chord with me Sunshine, I think about money all the time, every day, and I know its better than the old days when I didnt have a clue how much I had in the bank but it does get a bit depressing sometimes.

Have been out for a long bike ride which was nice.

HM shepherds pie in the slow cooker for tea. Some leftover apple crumble to eat up too.

Just washed the car and noticed a little dent that has been there since we bought the car looks like it is starting to go rusty. Need to get it sorted, goodness only knows how much that will cost and I could really do without it. :(

Ah well, need to sort the washing out and set the table for tea.

    Hi all

Thank you for all your comments, you guys are awesome!!

I know we are all in the same boat which is why it's nice to hear that a lot of you feel the same or have felt the same at some stage!

And I love that we are now, having at some stage been spenders, are the sort of people that can get excited by 5p!! :rotfl:

And Barbeduk no I don't PAD, how does it work?

Hello everyone  this is my first time on this thread. My lightbulb moment was yesterday!

So today I posted parcels sold on ebay, registered for a basic bank account, made lunch and had dinner from store cupboard. Will also search the house to sell more stuff on ebay.

    All the best everyone. PWS

I do this and just transfer £1-2 a day over to my savings and every Friday i pay it off my credit card. I'm also always rounding down my bank account and putting the pennies into that savings account - it all adds up! :)
