I've often wondered (as I have a weird brain) whether two computer mouse thingies would be called mice or mouses.

Hmmm the plural of Walkman was Walkmans not walkmen so maybe it is mouses or there isn't a plural and it's one mouse, two mouse etc.

Sorry for the highjack - blonde brain in action.

You'd sound soft if you went in and asked for two mouses.
You need to go to the counter and ask for a mouse, then when the assistant brings it for you say, I've decided i'll have another one.

Great find but I tend not to order wth Tesco because of the postage.

    Wikipedia
The online Oxford Dictionaries entry for mouse states the plural for the small rodent is mice, while the plural for the small computer connected device is either mice or mouses. However, in the usage section of the entry it states that the more common plural is mice, and that the first recorded use of the term in the plural is mice as well (though it cites a 1984 use of mice when there were actually several earlier ones).
The term mice was seen in print in "The Computer as a Communication Device", written by J. C. R. Licklider in 1968.
The fourth edition of The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language endorses both computer mice and computer mouses as correct plural forms for computer mouse.

I've only ever got one or two things delivered to the door but you don't need to pay any postage if you ask for store delivery and pick it up next time you're doing the usual shop.

I remember a good 10 years ago reading that the plural was indeed mouses rather than mice, will be hard pushed to find the source though :D
