Virgin Purchase Credit Card

Can anyone advise which credit reference agency or agencies Virgin search?

I'm thinking of applying for the Virgin Purchase credit card - anyone have any idea how tough this card is to get?

I have a good credit history although possibly have too much credit available to me (slightly more than 50% of income) but of the total credit available, roughly only 20% is utilised and stoozed.

Never missed any payments etc..

Thanks

  • Well I do know that they search Experian. As far as how easily it is available is anyones guess. The only way you will find out if it is available to you is to apply but as long as your credit report is tidy and you meet their criteria ( whatever that is :) then you have as good a chance as anybody else...

    Good luck

Thanks. Plan is to apply in a couple of weeks as I've just paid off a chunk on o e of my stooze cards so will give Experian time to update my report.

I have a Virgin MBNA card and use it occasionally.

Normally when you get it you will make purchases or a balance transfer.

When this is paid off, I find that they often make further offers for 0% purchases or balance transfers if you have not used the card for a while which can be handy. Although bear in mind that you cannot transfer a balance from another MBNA card.

I've had this card for years and I do have several MBNA cards. When I took out the most recent one they did reduce the credit limit on another. At the time I think my credit to income ratio was probably worse than yours so I think that as long as your credit history is ok you will be fine.
