Any suggestions on the cheapest way to post to canada?

My item is about 2 kg, approx 60cm x 60cm x 10cm

The cheapest way as far as Royal Mail is concerned is by surface mail -
Though you would have to weigh you item as its maximum weight is 2kg (with the exception of printed papers - books, magazines, leaflets etc of which you are allowed up to 5kg). So surface mail would cost around £9.84 for 2kg.

Airmail - £19.58 - thats for 2KG too.... so rather pricey!!!

    Thanks suzzi,

Only problem with Royal mail is that there is no tracking once it leaves the UK

i just sent my brothers birthday pressie out to canada via royal mail and it got there 5 days later i was most impressed as i thought it would take longer! there is no tracking though i guess it depends on the value of the item and the chance you are willing to take
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

Does it matter if it is not tracked? If it goes missing you can claim from royal mail up to 32 pounds with a certificate of posting or for more if you pay the extra and use int'l signed for or airsure.
