I'd like to paint our outside waste pipes black. Can anyone please suggest the type of paint we should be using?
Thanks

We used a concreate footstep paint on ours, but also depends on your pipe material0

Cast iron - exterior gloss having been suitably prepared and undercoated of course. Don't use the self undercoating stuff - its carp.
Exterior gloss will also work on UPVC pipes but it needs keying first. No undercoat on this as u/c isn't flexible but gloss is.

Used "plasticote" from B and Q ( I think!) to do a clients' grey waste pipe to black, as an extra when doing the windows, still looked good when I went back 5 years later. Preparation was essentially nothing, as it was a "tart up" due to be replaced when a whole load of plumbing happened. Plumbing never happened though!Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0
