Halifax/CCCS advice please

Hi,
I telephoned the Halifax today to complain that they had not replied to my letter re interest charges. They have agreed to stop interest charges as I am on a long term DMP. They state that I will be passed to their DCA within 2-3 months and will receive a default. The only condition is that I must not send any payments until the DCA is set up as these payments will mean my account is up to date and I will be paying more that the min amount. I explained that the CCCS pay them. They asked that I contacted CCCS to inform.
So excellent I thought my fight with the Halifax is finally over. Therefore I rang CCCS to be told that they cant just stop the payments to Halifax as it would effect all the other creditors!!! I then said I will need to buy a car as my company car is going back in Sept could I use this money to help do that.
So what seems a simple solution is not so simple in the eyes of CCCS. If they refuse to stop paying the Halifax it means that I will pay £1000 interest to the Halifax before I would be automatically sent to DMP in Oct.
The Team Leader from CCCS said she would go and discuss with someone else and let me know. Dont hold up much hope. I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Does any one have any advice?

CCCS were great to help set up my DMP but I found that once all my creditors had defaulted the accounts and were happy with the payments they were recieving it was easier to deal with tem directly. If your other creditors are happy with the DMP you might want to consider managing it yourself from now on CCCS will still give one off advice if you need it in future."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger

Quick update. CCCS rang back to advise that they should not stop payments as this would allow the Halifax to obtain CCJ/Charging order as I could not show I had paid what was affordable. I agreed to contact Halifax to stop agreement and complain to FSO.
When I rang the Halifax I was informed that I could still make payments !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and interest is still zero. The Halifax are the biggest _____ on this earth.
Oh well at least I have finally managed to get them to stop interest, or have I? I await my next statement.0 -
I have been on DMP CCCS for two and a half years now and Halifax have only just passed on our account to their DCA, even though at the beginning we were told it would be done within 2-3 months. They did however reduce the interest to 1% while the debt was still with them.LBM Dec 2009 Unsecured Debt £78,000:eek: Debt at December 2013 £16523.00).0
