faulty sensor on citroen c3

We have a warning light come on to tell us car is overheating but there is nothing wrong?

Presumably we need to have this checked out. It does not always come on mainly on a long journey?

If you suspect a faulty sensor (and not a faulty thermostat, for example) your Citroen needs a Lexia session: Citroen diagnostics computer scan. Your friendly Citroen stealer, sorry, dealer would charge anything between £100 and £150 for a session, which takes roughly 10-15 minutes. The diagnostic tool reads and clears any error codes and can give you a very good idea of what the fault is.

Alternatively you can go to the French Car Forum and ask there - many forum regulars have Chinese Lexia knock offs (also compatible with Peugeot's Proxia) and offer these diagnostic sessions for free/bottle of wine/slab of beer. There is also a Google map listing all forum members offering their Lexias, so you can find out if anyone is near you.

yes i had it and the wheels fell off
