Having a decent amount of RAM (memory) can really help a laptop run fast. 4GB of RAM will really improve speed and allow you to run lots of apps at once.

Look at the budget range from Dell. Most of the processors available at around the £350 mark will be quick enough, just make sure you add the RAM as above.

Dell Outlet is good if you don't mind refurbs, more bang for your buck.

Other good brands are Samsung and Lenovo.

Lowest cost (£0.00) is to fix the software on the one you have, see sticky thread

this is the way to go, as no way should it take 1 min to load a website, my 10 year old single core system is fast enough for any web browsing i do, and pretty much as quick to load a website as my fully overclocked gaming system (not quite as quick to load the browser though) so it sounds as if your system is clogged up with carp making it go very slow

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
