Hello,
Just after a bit of advice re managing current credit with the aim of getting a mortgage next year.
I have just finished paying off a barclaycard credit card, and I'm now left with a £6100 credit available. The question is, if I want to obtain a mortgage in say a years time, should I;
a) cancel the card
b) keep the card but lower the credit limit
c) keep the card and the high limit?
I'm not going to use the card again, (unless to do so would improve my rating), and have one other credit card which I am paying off (2500 limit - will be paid off by December 2012.
I just want the best possible rating to obtain a mortgage! HELP ME PLEASE!!
