I can never understand anyone ever going into debt for holidays, its a slippery slope, especially at 17.

People keep saying to you ask your parents etc. but you are not responding to that.

I don't really want to ask them for money.

How much more is it going to cost? If it is a significant jump for them it may be wise to trust you and have a friendly whiparound between them to give your share until you have the funds.

Overall the holiday is 450 pounds

I've already paid off 200 pounds.

I don't see how else your going to get the money other than from your parents, or asking your friends for a short term loan.

Has it occurred to you that cannot afford the holiday at this time?

A commercial lender will not lend to you as you are below the age where you can enter a legally binding contract (under 18?). So you may not want to ask your parents but it's really that, sell something, or don;t go on holiday.

Would it be worth asking the travel agents to extend deadline?

I'm thinking one more week and I'd have the resources to get 250 pounds.

You can ask and worst they can say is no. Sorry to be harsh but you knew it was coming so could have planned for it, you could have save up the £250 and put it to 1 side whether in a savings account and not touch it.
