IPod Power Surge- Help?

I've asked before but couldn't find my thread... I reformatted my computer and now the previous prob I had and solved ( Thanks to MSE ) is now back.
I plug in IPod and it says power surge on hub. I've got ITunes 7.1 the lastest.

Try plugging your iPod into one of your computer's USB/Firewire ports instead of going through a hub.0

i have tried all the power ports usb etc and they all say 'power surge'! It is so confusing! Does anyone know what to do?Help me to help you :santa2:0

Anything else plugged into the usb ports taking power? (including mice & keyboard) Is the ipod fully charged when you conect to pc? can you have the ipod conected to its charger when plugged into usb as well. ipod battery ok?Nudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0

try connecting it to a ps2 or xbox or anything with a powered usb port0

Fully charged removed all other USB products. Still Power Surge... any ideaas? Guess only other option is to return it? It is out of years warranty but only by 4 days!!! But I'll argue sale of goods act lolHelp me to help you :santa2:0
