Losing wifi signal on lava tablet

The OH has a Lava tablet, it's driving him mad as everytime he goes online it drops signal and goes back to the start, I have a laptop and mobile phone (blackberry) which connects to wifi with no probs. Is there anything we can get to boost the signal on the tablet? We are on talktalk with a d link router. Thanks for any help!

Does this tablet have access to Google play(Android market),if so download advance wifi lock https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.advancedwifilockfree&feature=search_result ,unfortunately poor wifi connection does seem to be a problem with the budget Android tablets.0
