No news as yet on the new place

Fortunately my boyfriend has admitted that some of my credit card spending was down to him so he's been giving me some lump payments. i have also opened a basic bank account and I am ebaying laods of stuff which will help with the move when it does eventually happen as we're going to a smaller flat.
Lynxpower - a friend of mine told me about this the other day and I will definitely be doing it!0 -
Good stuff Vix,
Have you made any cutbacks on your SOA as yet? If you could just knock a little off each outgoing its amazing how much you save. Ive managed to save enough on phone and internet charges each month to pay my TV Licence and the my Council Tax. Any more ways to chip away at your SOA?
Best of luck to you, Great to hear you are now heading in the right direction again :TOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 297 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

The old gym in cancelled and as I told them it was due to monetary reasons they even waivered the 3 month notice period :money: New gym now only costing me £56 per month instead of £135!
I also cancelled the second phone that I had kept hold of but never used so another saving there of around £20 per month!
Apart from that the other saving will happen when we move. Have been looking for somewhere else cheaper, but I think holding out for the housing association flat will be best in the long run as it is so much cheaper and we don't have a set time to stay there (as in at the moment all private tenancy agreements are for 6 months so we keep having to move...)0 -

I was doing so well and it all went to pot.
We are in the HA flat, but my boyfriend lost his job so some of the moving costs had to go onto my cards. Total debt now stands at 11978.42. I am working on a new SOA, but whilst it's just my income it's not looking good.
On the plus side I have confirmed final dates on my two loans and there are only four more payments on the sofas!
I've also got a load of stuff to ebay so I'm going to do that tomorrow and even if the cash doesn't go towards debts it may well help us keep our heads above water.0 -
It's worse than original thought as I forgot my overdraft (!?).
Total debt now is £13478.42, but I think one of the reasons i forgot this is that I am still waiting for my deposit from our last flat to be returned to me and this clear two thirds of it.0 -
Aarrgh and you are doing so well! Hopefully your partner gets a job very very quickly!0
