Strange systray Icons Prob

Greetings one and All
I have a PC running windows 7 and up until recently everything was running sweet but now i have a bit of a strange prob.
When i right click/double click on some icons that have been minimized to the systray nothing happens this is a new phenomenon to me it happens on progs such as u torrent or Dragon Naturally Speaking. But the windows system icons are all fine if i click on them..
Any help would be appreciated
