DIY lean-to conservatory

Hi, My aged pop wants to take down his present clapped out conservatory, roughly 20 feet by eight feet and lean-to, and replace it with one say 10 feet long and same width.Ideally the existing floor base and side walls would be used to the extent they are needed.
Is it practical for a novice to use a kit conservatory or is it better to pay a skilled tradesman to erect it?
Many thanks
