Are there any cashback cards available that fit into this criteria?
1. Don't need min come of £20k
2. No annual fee
3. Don't need to set up a current a/c with the card

Have you read the sticky at the top of this board?
How short are you from £20k? Have you remembered to add any interest on savings accounts , dividends etc.0 -
How about the Virgin Charity card? And keep the 0.8% cashback for yourself.0

They don't know how much savings, or savings interest, you have unless you tell them (in an appeal letter if you're declined or are assigned a low credit limit).0 -

It's interest on savings, not savings themselves
by the way, I know you said no cards with annual fees, but the Amex Platinum cashback has a fee of £25 and you can get £20 cashback when approved using quidco so it works out at £5/mo
Also, this has a household income of £20k (parents, partners, etc..) not personal income - I think you will actually find a lot of them have "household" income which shouldn't be a problem unless you're living on your own? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. But how do they know how much everyone earns? They aren't allowed to contact our employers are they?0 -

As far as I'm aware...they don't
I mean they may request a previous pay slip or something when you apply, but you could just cancel the application I think. I'm sure if you have a good credit report and lie about a few extra grand, they won't check
I wouldn't advise it though, as I don't know what can happen if they did find outThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sure they are, for identity protection reasons. Ie, they may well ring up your employer to ensure you actually work there. They did with me. I know because I got forwarded the call from our main desk (they wanted to ensure I was the person who applied, for example).
If you have applied for credit before and put in different details to what you intend to put on this application (including salary), then expect an instant refusal and possible fraud marker, unless you can prove otherwise.
I'm currently using an AA credit card, but its not too good if you don't already have an AA membership (you'll only get 50% of the rewards).0
