Bucket of water lugged from my parents house to the flat. Either that or nipping to nearby public toilets. Not the most fun I've had over a bank holiday weekend to be sure.

EDIT - latest update is that the management company 'fixed it' on Saturday!! Apparently some of the flats were fixed but the pump has blown again so they are 'definitely' sending someone out to fix it before tonight.

Angry is not the word right now.

Are you in Leeds? There is a block of flats in Leeds that has been without water since last wednesday, then they had a further fault on Saturday are you somehow involved in this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-17981317

No, I'm not in Leeds, although it is comforting to know I'm not the only one with problems!

We now have water, thank goodness! I've been on the phone all afternoon with the LL and apparently there were plumbers in the building late this afternoon in the service cupboards. They've said it was a design fault in the pump that caused an airlock in the supply to the ground and first floor flats.

I've told the LL to expect a letter (copied to the management company) requesting compensation for the inconvenience and the water purchased.

Thanks for all the replies - I may be back for tips on how to word the letter, but for now I'm off to run a nice hot bath!
