Tax renewal - Vehicle in garage

Hi guys,

My tax disc renewal is due, but my car is actually (and has been for the last 1 month) in a garage getting repaired! I reckon it will be another 1.5 weeks while it's in there.

Is this regarded as a SORN?

You must tell DVLA that vehicle is SORN otherwise they will just issue you with a fine

Just tax it, you won't gain anything by sorning if you're getting it back this month. Just make sure you remember to display the tax disc.

You'll have to tax it from the 1st May anyhow he it goes on the road this month.

if you sorned it how do you know the garage arent parking it on the street test drives etc
no matter what they tell you
you have it insured so my advice too is tax it
