Hi,
My PDA has died on me and I;m not sure what to do about fixing this.
It is completely dead - not powering or charging.

Sometimes you can take the battery out and leave it out overnight, then stick it back in again and it might spark back to life or at least take a small charge so you can see the battery needs replacing. Worth a try.

I have seen a similar problem when the battery dies ,you need to get some power in to it, try mains power and remove it then reconnect it a few times to see if anything comes on remember it can take a few seconds for the pda to respond to the power/charger.

Try a soft reset, normally a hole at the bottom where you stick the stylus just reboots the pda. that fixes 95% of pda problems.

If that doesnt work then a hard reset is needed, this causes everything to be lost that is on the pda, if you have the pda synced with a PC set up correctly when you sync after it will restore everything so it isnt a big problem for most people. the hard reset for all the pda's I have is to hold the normal power button and use the stylus to press the soft reset button it will reset and set up just like when you switched it on for the first time.

I couldn't agree more with Little John that most of the pda problems I have had have been solved by soft or hard reset

Some hard resets require multiple buttons to be held down - its worth checking in the manual
