My setup is as follows -
Internet Router <---> Server Nic1 <->(Server 2k8)<-> Server Nic2 <----> Switch <----> Clients
Internet Router Ip = 192.168.1.1
Server NIC1 = Obtain IP Automaticlaly
Server NIC 2 = 192.168.0.1, subnet = 255.255.255.0, Gateway= 192.168.1.1, DNS = 192.168.0.1
Client = Obtain IP automatically
I am able to obtain IP addresses through the DHCP server for my clients and I am able to browse internet on the server 2k8, however the clients are unable to browse the internet.
Any ideas what may be the issue?
Thanks

Sounds like DNS to me.
What dns server does 192.168.0.1 connect to i.e open dns.
I would imagine it be easier to just use the gateway ip for dns ip.0 -
If I set the dns as the default gateway, the dhcp server will no longer function then.London, UK0

what router u using.
should be an option.0 -
As its a test lab, I would like to try finding out how to share the internet from the server while having the dhcp server running on the same box.London, UK0

If i was gonna do this I would use server1 as a Gateway, DNS and DHCP server, that way all clients connect directly to that, instead of having clients connect part to router and part to server.
Seems abit complicated setup.0 -

If I enable NAT is there anyway I can auto obtain the IP, gateway and dns rather than setting up manually the dns or gateway ?London, UK0
