Help! Has my ebay account been hacked?

Hi all

I have just tried to sign into my ebay account and it kept telling me that I have entered an incorrect password. I tried this numerous times on my PC and my daughter also tried on her laptop. In the end, I went through the procedure of changing my password. The first attempt at signing in with the new password didn't work, it took me back to the sign-in page but the second attempt worked?

However, when I went to my ebay summary page, the following messages flagged up in red?

MyEbay.BIZ.USER_NOTE_MARKDOWN_ERROR

Any ideas on this and anything I should look for?

TIA

I've seen that error message mentioned on the ebay forums in the past, and usually when there is eBay Maintenance going on, but that's unlikely on a Sunday

You haven't logged into ebay.com instead of co.uk by any chance? That may possibly explain why your preferences aren't coming through, but if you are logged into ebay now, it may be worth a phone call via the Help option, then Contact Us.
At least then if your account has been compromised, there will be a record of it against your account.
