how far back can you reclaim ?

Is it possible to claim back ppi from 1990 (rbs). Have paperwork which shows ppi was added unless i ticked a box refusing it. Cost was single premium of £300.

Have been refused refund by clydesdale bank last week , they show i ticked a box which stated that they strongly recommended i take ppi and would be added by ticking the box, this was in 1995. I was told to tick box by one of their staff. Should i go to ombudsman?

Had two successful claims so far, mint and alliance and leicester, over £10,000 repaid so far.

Some have had wins from the 90s on this site, if you think you were mis sold then put a claim in.
If either of the PPI were put on the loan and paid back each month in with the loan payment then this is Single premium PPI and is the most upheld of all PPI reclaims, it is in effect a loan on the loan paid back to to term end with interest, if the Clydsdale is the same then wrote back and reject the reasons they gave for not upholding and put that it was a Single Premium PPI.
