Help Condensing Boiler will not stop!

We have a Grants Outdoor Vortex condensing boiler installed and we have a Grants wireless thermostat/timer control unit. We have set the water and heating times for morning and night but the boiler seems to have a mind of it's own and the radiators are coming on whenever they want and at random times, even when the times set have past.It is also continues heating the rooms when the required temperature set on the thermostat has been reached.
Can you suggest the answer to our problems.

Is the wireless unit battery powered? If so try changing them.

Thank you so much for your reply but it is brand spanking new so it can not be that

Assuming it is not a Combi, you need to check the zone valves, especially the ch one.

Sounds like the remote unit is not communicating properly with the boiler.
First thing I'd do is remove the batteries from the remote unit.
If the boiler continues to fire up then the problem is at the receiver end.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

I had my boiler replaced a few months ago and had a wireless thermostat.

What a pain in the posterior!! Either it wouldn't turn off when the desired temp was reached, or I would get up in the morning to find the damn thing hadn't turned the boiler on:mad:.

I used to have to take the batteries out and refit to reset the stat. And it didn't matter whether I replaced the batteries,

I soon went back to a hard-wired stat and it's been fine since:T

Still pullling our hair out. unbelievable problems but thanks for your comments. Bill Trac the electrician our plumber has called in said about hard wiring it so maybe that is the answer-- I am worried if we go down that route the gaurantee may be affected
