We've got a local company recommended on Alan M's thread coming around next week to measure up. Any thoughts on particular colours to match the white-cream Eden would be very welcome! The flooring will be neutral - probably grey/black tiles with colour/warmth provided by painting the walls.
Have you ever seen a white/cream worktop like white mirrored quartz work with an Eden like unit? I'm told it wouldn't work as they're too similar but I do wonder. Otherwise probably a 'black with bits'. We are conscious that pure, glossy black shows fingerprints and scratches so are keen to get something more practical although we've also been advised that pale colours can be stained by red wine, tea etc (although we were also told that quartz was non-porous...)
All help extremely appreciated!!
The Eden is fairly similar to the kitchen I have chosen.
I'm having a pale granite worktop as our kitchen can be quite dark. I used to love the idea of black granite but it's high maintenance and we also live in a very hard water area + I think it's no longer a novelty because it's in so many kitchens.
The idea of a white mirrored quartz sounds great (IMO) but I've never had quartz so can't comment on how easy it is to look after.
I've found that you need to consider everything eg if you have a brushed stainless steel sink, is it better to have a similar tap (rather than a chrome one)?
All far too time consuming!0 -
I know what you mean, namecheck!! I keep having to tell myself and my boyfriend "it's going to be worth it" but there are so many decisions and it's a lot of money so it's worth putting in the effort.0

Quite, far too many decisions!
But good luck to both of us.0
