About 40 years ago when frozen food was the new modernity, I remember my grandmother cooking a roast lunch at my mother's house. She was a generally good cook but on this occasion there was a strange smell emanating from the served meal. It transpired that she'd mistaken the frozen melon balls for brussels sprouts!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Rushing to go to a party I was incensed that when I took my Tesco pizza out of the oven and it was still frozen in the middle. While I impatiently waited another 20 minutes for it to cook I penned a letter of complaint about their cooking times and posted it on the way to the do. I got £5 for my trouble but with a firm statement that the only explanation could be a faulty oven. It turned out to be the oven door seal!
I'm biased as an optician but this thread highlights the absolute necessity of crystal clear near vision when shopping. If you can 't read the shelf edge price comparisons you are absolutely bound to spend more than you need to. It is maybe not known that often the middle sized packs are the best value for money rather than the largest - if you don't believe me check milk and washing powder / tablets etc for proof. Though washing poweder is further confused by some being priced per kg and some packs of the same stuff priced per tablet. Good job my phone has a calculator!
if you struggle to walk around in readers how about bifocals or varifocals, or maybe if you just hate being seen in glasses why not try multifocal contact lenses and nobody need ever know. The money you'll save noticing these rip off deals or and preventing purchases of sauce when you want fish they should pay for themselves pretty quick!0 -
Not a food reading mistake, a couple of years ago in a charity shop I spotted a really nice framed print still shrink wrapped. It had very pretty dancing fairies on it with the word Fairy written on it.
Ideal for my new baby girl cousin's bedroom. Got it home to discover Fairy actually read Harry.
Shame she was called Beth.0
