hello, my partner was sick the day before our flight. we have a doctor's certificate for it, but i was wondering where I stood? we have seperate travel insurance, but our flights were booked together etc.
Do I stand chance for getting reimbursed too?

Yes. Read up on what you are covered against for cancellation, and get your claim in (assuming you have cover for your partner being ill and unable to travel)0

It all depends on policy wording: providing illness of a close relative is a valid reason for cancellation and that your partner is defined as a close relative then you should be covered (subject to the excess under the policy - your partner will have one excess and you will have another)0
