Parking in Wembley on major events days.

I've won some tickets for the BGT final, next Saturday(not everyone's cuppa I know!).
I was hoping to get a train from Leicester but looks like I may miss the last one back so am now going to take the car in.
I've never driven to London and am panicking I will never get parked anywhere. It's the Carling Cup final on the same day, is this going to make it impossible to park?
I've been told to park at Stanmore and tube it to Wembley but is that likely to fill up early too?

Congrats on winning your tickets. Think you might want to check about the football as the Carling Cup final was in February?

Parking up at Stanmore is the easiest as parking at Wembley is very expensive and also you get stuck in the traffic after major events.

    Google companies such as parkatmyhouse.co.uk

They usually have off road parking to let by the day near Wembley. Usually peoples driveways. I think they... sod it just had a look:-

I used Wembley Park tube station car park when I took my daughter to a JLS concert, it was about 4 pounds but traffic was awful afterwards. We didn't get back onto the M1 for about two hours. After Take That last year, I didn't even get out of the car park for two hours. If it was me, I'd park at Stanmore & jump on the tube. Have fun :)

Stanmore or Canons Park(one in from Stanmore) will avoid most of the horrific traffic getting away from Wembley.

Stanmore has a 450 space car park and costs a maximum of £1.50 a day at weekends. The fare from Stanmore to Wembley Park is £4.30 single if you pay cash. If you get an Oyster card this drops to £1.40 single, you should be able to get the cards on arrival at Stanmore. Plenty of trains after the show, last one is well after midnight.

After 80,000 people leaving Wembley Stadium from the Take That concert, Wembley Arena is no problem. To be honest when the Stadium show finished it was sooo busy but very well organised and the tube was a breeze. I'd never park near Wembley the tube is definitely the best option :)
