I must have been lucky with my house purchase using NBM Eason of Ashby de la Zouch(Paul Eason)
They saved me a lot of money and dealt with the conveyancing very professionally. The vendors solicitor was a well thought of high street firm. They made several key mistakes, at least one of which was spotted by my people.

The whole process is difficult and problematic but in the end I saved around £4-500 and will use this firm again.

Our mortgage broker (a very helpful chap who has been worth far more to us than he is going to earn in commission, for all the advice and useful contacts he has provided) begged us not to use an online conveyancer. We instructed a solicitor who came highly recommended and her fees (for a house purchase with no chain on either side) are £500 plus VAT - no doubt we could have found cheaper but I would really rather fork out a bit more for someone who has been personally recommended and who answers emails/returns phone calls almost immediately and who I have complete confidence in.

Just bought a house and the vendors used an online solicitor, my solicitor was pulling her hair out trying to get them to do the things they were supposed to do. Took ages to respond to things and often got it wrong when they did.

The vendor actually ended up ringing my solicitor because he couldn't get any straight answers out of his own.

    Hey,

Seems to be some mixed reviews here about online conveyancing, so i thought i would chuck my pennies worth in. . .

We use a company called Premier Property Lawyers for most of our transactions (google myhomemove). You get a real person assigned to the case, they will deal with it from there to finish.

Some cases can be quite difficult as it is property we are dealing with here (as mentioned above), but I can happily recommend them to anyone.

Has anyone else here used them?

    Yes, others have used them.

If you took the time to do a search on this forum, you'll find that the reviews are atrocious.

One wonders whether you've joined just to spam the site.
