Recommend short term car insurers?

I am looking for recommendations for short term car insurers: to cover a vehicle on Comprehensive insurance for 2 days. So far I have only found rip off quotes on the net £50+ for a 1.2L.

Odd situation. I have been given a loan car as my car is being repaired after an accident (other party was completely at fault) and was told to cover it by the repairer.

I have read my insurance policy and, although I have fully comprehensive on my vehicle which is being repaired, I think it only provides Third Party on any other vehicle.

I did ring my insurer (Aegeas) to ask if I need to do this and they advised I will have "like for like" cover so no need to do anything but I don't think the person advising had any idea about my policy as this was only the claim line.

Aegeas only use brokers so I dont think anyone knows what they are doing. I have numerous problems during the claim with Aegeas ie lost claims, no calls, delays I don't trust the statement about my insurance as they are so unreliable & there is no come back as this was a call.

When my vehicle is in for repair and I have a loan car, the garage rings my broker, who issues a cover note for the loan car for no charge.

You certainly need evidence of insurance for the loan car otherwise you will only have tp insurance and will be liable for any damage should you have an accident.
